This Season: 2007-2008

Get into the music!

Pianist Peter Serkin kicks off The Memphis Symphony Orchestra’s 2007-2008 season of musical experiences. Hear virtuoso performances on the Stradivarius violins of Jennifer Koh and James Ehnes.  Be prepared for an awesome aural event complete with large chorus, orchestra and four spatially separated brass choirs in one of the country's best acoustical halls - The Cannon Center - when Memphis Symphony performs the Berlioz Requiem.

Hop on this year's fabulous MSO Pops Series. With bookend performances by Tony Award winning Jennifer Holliday and Grammy Award winning Amy Grant with Doc Severinsen in between, you will have to act soon to get a great seat for this season. We haven't left off your traditional favorites, Home for the Holiday and Elvis Birthday Pops. MSO also sends a valentine in February with a program of music from composers Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer.

With thousands of survey responses given during our 2006-2007 Pops series, you the audience told us what you value the most -- the talented musicians of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and our programming.

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra exists to create meaningful experiences through our concerts.  Gain a deeper appreciation of our programs during our Concert Spotlights.  Watch the smile on your child's face at the sound of a familiar tune during our Family concerts.
