Community & Education

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra seeks to create meaningful experiences through music.. Through Community & Education programs such as Young People's Concerts, Family Tunes & Tales free library visits, and mentoring in local schools, the MSO is an organization for everyone.

The Memphis Symphony performs beyond its regular schedule by bringing music and programs to the Mid-South community.  Here is how we get into the Mid-South:

  • MSO concerts present over 825 artists throughout the year.
  • MSO provides the music for other arts organizations’ presentations.
  • MSO partners with Federal Express, Youth Villages, Soulsville, and more.
  • MSO entertains and educates over 500,000 people through concerts and programs.
  • MSO provides free tickets to over 6,000 people a year through programs such as ArtsMemphis' ArtsAccess.
  • MSO takes its show on the road throughout Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.
  • MSO enriches children’s education through over 7,500 hours of private music lessons, 60 school visits and 2 Young Persons concerts every year.
