The MSO celebrates a special full weekend at the new Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center. Tchaikovsky’s Second Symphony is an early masterpiece that famously draws from the folk melodies of today’s Ukraine. Florence Price’s hauntingly beautiful Piano Concerto in One Movement is built upon her own musical foundations including spirituals and call-and-response.
