The 2026–2027 season marks a historic milestone for the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, our 75th Season of music. For three-quarters of a century, the MSO has been a vital voice in Memphis, bringing the power of live orchestral music to our city and beyond. Join us for a special tribute to the legacy and sacrifice of the US Armed Forces. This concert features Copland’s Lincoln Portrait with a special guest narrator, and the world premiere of a new Requiem chronicling the US Armed Forces in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1975, and commemorating the 75th anniversary of the sacrifice of Navy Officer and aviator, Jesse L. Brown. This project was envisioned by Fred Smith and is dedicated in his memory to his fellow service men and women.
